This collection was developed as a way to celebrate the beauty of femininity, through a series of paintings and drawings that draw upon strong facial features, vibrant colors, and emotional presence to do so.

Recognizing the diversity of these characteristics has been important to me. As a father of two daughters I wanted to create a series that echoed a universal affection for women of color that showcased inclusion as well as appreciation.

​

Some of the women featured in these paintings are real, some imaginary but all of these paintings are created in with admiration and affection in mind. These portraits and other images are meant to draw attention to the beauty of the female form in various ways.

 

The binary color schemes of the portraits puts emphasis on the edges, lines and curves that define that particular model. Other images seek to express a more of the invisible portion of a woman's beauty.
